Programmatic Advertising Specialist (Contract) – Hybrid
Location: Germany

Contract duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)

We are looking for a Programmatic Advertising Specialist to support agency and trading teams in scaling DSP-based campaigns across multiple clients.

In this client-facing role, you will partner with programmatic traders, agencies, and internal stakeholders to drive campaign performance, improve activation quality, and increase overall campaign volume. The focus is on hands‑on campaign execution, optimisation, and continuous improvement .

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Activation & Management

Manage the end-to-end campaign lifecycle : setup, QA, optimisation, troubleshooting, and reconciliation

Identify and implement optimisation strategies to improve campaign performance and scale activity

Ensure consistent adherence to best practices across all activations

Execute testing plans and apply learnings to improve outcomes

Performance & Insights

Partner with agency trading teams to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations

Align campaign strategies with client objectives and performance goals

Process Improvement & Innovation

Contribute to the development and optimisation of activation processes and best practices

Identify and support automation initiatives to increase efficiency

Act as a subject matter expert on DSP capabilities , supporting adoption within agency teams

Required Experience & Skills

Proven experience in programmatic advertising , ideally within an agency or trading desk environment

Strong hands‑on experience with DSP platforms and programmatic campaign management

Solid understanding of core programmatic concepts, including:

Real-Time Bidding (RTB), bid strategies, and auction dynamics (first vs second price)

Campaign optimisation techniques and machine learning‑based optimisation

Ad verification, tracking, attribution, and viewability

Experience with major DSP platforms (experience with a retail/media DSP is a plus)

Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven, client‑first approach

Ability to train and support stakeholders , sharing best practices and expertise
