The Programs & Center Coordinator serves as a key member of the Allens Lane Art Center team, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Center and helping ensure an exceptional experience for students, artists, visitors, renters, and community members. This multifaceted position assists with program registration and administration, front desk operations, exhibitions, events, facility setup and breakdown, CRM data management, and general administrative support.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, upbeat, customer-service focused, and enjoys working in a collaborative, community-based arts environment.

Key Responsibilities
Program Administration & Registration

Assist with the setup and breakdown of classes, workshops, camps, exhibitions, and special events.

Support program registration and enrollment processes.

Process registrations and maintain accurate participant records.

Assist students and families with registration, enrollment, and program-related questions.

Learn and effectively utilize Allens Lane Art Center's CRM and registration system.

Maintain accurate program, participant, and constituent information.

Visitor Services & Front Desk Operations

Welcome visitors, students, artists, teaching artists, volunteers, and community members.

Answer phones and respond to general inquiries.

Provide information about classes, events, exhibitions, rentals, performances, and community programs.

Exhibitions & Events

Assist with exhibition planning, installation, deinstallation, and artist communications.

Receive, document, and track artwork as needed.

Support exhibition receptions, special events, and community gatherings.

Assist with event logistics and day‑of‑event operations.

Administrative & Operational Support

Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director, Program Director, and other staff as needed.

Assist with data entry, filing, mailings, and other office tasks.

Support the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the Art Center.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

Associate's degree or a minimum of two years of college coursework preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Minimum of two years of experience in a professional work environment.

Experience in arts administration, education, customer service, nonprofit organizations, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.

Skills & Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness and ability to learn and effectively utilize Allens Lane Art Center's CRM and registration systems.

Friendly, professional, and customer‑service‑oriented demeanor.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and dependability.

Interest in the arts and commitment to supporting a welcoming and inclusive community environment.

Physical Requirements
The Programs & Center Coordinator should be comfortable moving throughout the Art Center, working at a computer workstation, and assisting with program, event, and exhibition activities. The position may occasionally require lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 30 pounds, climbing ladders, and using basic hand tools for setup, installation, and breakdown.

Compensation
Compensation is $18/hour. This is a part time non‑exempt hourly position.
