Associate Photographer – Greensboro/Winston Salem, NC
The Role
Associate Photographers are responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com, utilizing a Pro 3 Matterport camera, digital camera equipment, and iPad to create virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes. Each Associate Photographer covers a core territory, servicing clients in their assigned region. They schedule appointments to scan homes and apartments, producing virtual tours, floor plans, and marketing photography to promote properties. They work closely with clients, sales associates, logistics, and management, with remote management by a local Photography Manager.

Responsibilities

Support marketing efforts on homes.com and apartments.com by capturing 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.

Create a portfolio of photographs to best feature homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture the spaces pleasingly.

Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.

Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.

Own the market: while not working on a residential home, navigate a one‑mile square grid to ensure complete commercial real‑estate data coverage, identify new inventory and missing availability, and photograph commercial properties.

Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.

Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.

Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements of Position

Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours per day.

Must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.

Repetitive hand and arm movements to type on a tablet or laptop and operate camera equipment.

Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying.

Ability to work and drive outside during all seasons.

Ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of professional experience.

Real Estate Photography experience required.

Experience working as a professional photographer or a recently earned degree in photography.

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong customer service experience with a client‑first mindset.

Experience as a drone photographer with an FAA Part 107 License/Cerification obtained within 30 days of offer.

Strong time‑management skills and very detail‑oriented.

Capability to accurately capture and enter data.

Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.

Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications; familiarity with Apple iOS products.

Enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Field experience preferred.

Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license.

Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start; driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.

Compensation
The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus‑eligible. Bonuses are paid on a monthly cycle and are based on performance against pre‑determined metrics. The hourly role pays approximately $50,000 annually, with opportunity for monthly bonuses.
