Summary
Position located at Paws & Claws Kennel – Fort Irwin, CA. The role involves providing exceptional customer service to pet owners and maintaining a safe, clean environment for dogs and cats. Services include air‑conditioned kennels, outdoor runs, grooming, and daily animal care.

Duties

Manages the kennel’s business activity, develops, recommends and enforces operating procedures.

Represents the kennel to the public and serves as the primary point of contact for pet owners.

Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage and sales data, and makes recommendations to improve services, promotion activities and revenue.

Supervises assigned staff and develops budgetary data.

Evaluates financial statements, reviews costs against revenues, advises supervisor of status and recommends improvements in merchandise lines and marketing.

Requirements

U.S. Citizen, U.S. National or non‑U.S. National residing in the U.S. or U.S. territory for at least three continuous years immediately preceding the start of the position.

Direct Deposit required and possession of a Social Security Card.

Must meet all qualification, eligibility and background requirements for this position.

Provisional probationary period of one year may be required.

Must satisfactorily complete an Employment Verification (E‑Verify) check.

Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre‑employment checks including a Tier 1 background investigation as per AR 215‑3, para.2.

Must be able to work occasional weekends.

Must be able to bend, stoop and stand for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
