Student Communications Assistant/Summer Photographer/Partial Designer
The Student Communications Assistant/Summer Photographer/Partial Designer at the Voinovich School of Leadership & Public Service provides photography, videography, and design support for events and marketing initiatives. The role involves capturing campus and regional events, creating multimedia content, and assisting with communications and design projects.

Responsibilities

Photograph events, portraits, headshots, and b‑roll footage for the school’s marketing materials.

Support the Graphic Designer and External Communications team on design projects and promotional content.

Write and edit news stories, manage social media content, and update the school website.

Assist with office tasks and support event communications when necessary.

Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student workers to complete assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in classes at Ohio University, Hocking College, another post‑secondary institution, or a secondary school during the current or upcoming semester.

Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within deadlines.

Basic knowledge of office software and communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere.

Experience shooting and editing video.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

Primarily desk‑based with extensive computer use.

Occasional travel to support meetings and programs.

Pay Rate
$15.00 per hour (non‑exempt, part‑time). Up to 32 hours per week if needed.
