The Technical Reader in the Medical Access Department is responsible for facilitating accurate processing of medical access documentation to ensure eligibility for reimbursement for the CCIU and district partners. The role involves running and reviewing error reports, ensuring integrity and compliance of RMTS reports, and verifying staff credentialing in alignment with the SBAP handbook. The Technical Reader collaborates with departmental stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, maintain regulatory compliance, and support overall departmental efficiency.
Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities
Run and analyze error reports to identify and rectify discrepancies.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of RMTS reports.
Process medical access documentation and medical authorizations in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
Verify and maintain compliance with staff credentialing requirements outlined in the SBAP handbook.
Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to resolve issues related to error reports or credentialing.
Maintain detailed documentation of processes and findings.
Audit data by completing weekly/monthly reports to monitor data for service logging errors and ensure compliance with current state and federal regulations. Prepare and submit required reports to districts, state, and federal agencies.
Function as primary contact with IT regarding database revisions and technical issues.
Develop systems, charts, graphs, projections to track targeted data to improve programmatic efficiency.
Develop systems and procedures to train staff, maintain integrity of data entered into database systems, attend and facilitate trainings and meetings to implement new procedures.
Assist with clerical duties associated with the submission of service logs programmatically.
Perform day‑to‑day case maintenance, including clerical responsibilities related to timely submission of service logs.
Assist in clerical duties associated with MA programmatically.
Maintain HIPAA and FERPA compliance regarding student/staff data.
Support other technical readers as needed for special projects or workload periods.
Perform additional duties as needed per new mandates and requirements.
Provide support to staff in using various computer application programs: word processing, database, spreadsheets, and other applications.
Hourly Rate (2026-2027 SY)
Support Staff, Level 11, Non‑exempt: $24.82/hr to $32.90/hr. Rate determined by years of experience in a similar role.
Schedule
Monday – Friday; 7.5 hrs/day; 260 days/year.
