Sr. Audio Technician
We are seeking a Sr. Audio Technician to apply acoustic test and measurement experience to assist in the development and validation of state-of-the-art hearing technology. This role involves working at the intersection of audio algorithms (ML and DSP), hardware, and acoustics, and is critical for the integration and tuning of these algorithms. The position will also support user studies by setting up audio equipment to simulate realistic user scenarios in a lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and improve a spatial acoustic lab.
Perform high-quality audio recordings and measurements.
Support audio equipment setup and configuration for user studies.
Assist in spatial audio/visual data collection for machine learning and evaluation.
Collaborate with audio and hardware teams on acoustic hardware validation for product development.
Perform and document verification and validation of hearing algorithms for internal use and for meeting certain regulatory requirements.
Calibrate form factor audio devices.
Develop and automate audio tests.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience working in audio with a track record of acoustic measurements and testing.
Experience with audio and acoustic test setups.
Python and MATLAB coding and scripting skills for audio test automation.
Experience with psychoacoustics, signal processing, modeling, data science, or machine learning.
Previous work experience with psychoacoustics or hearing products.
Experience with spatial audio data and ambisonics.
Familiarity with common audio interfaces and software.
Experience working with clinical experiments.
Strong collaboration skills.
