Role Description
This is a part-time, contract-based videographer position offered on a per-project basis, on-site in the Hampton Roads, Virginia Metropolitan Area. Compensation ranges from $35 to $50 per hour, depending on experience and project scope.
Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and shooting video content for branding projects, operating cameras and related equipment, and setting up lighting for indoor and outdoor shoots. You'll collaborate with clients and our creative team to understand brand goals, capture footage that aligns with project objectives, and ensure visual consistency across content pieces. You may also assist with basic editing, file organization, and equipment maintenance to support smooth production workflows.
Qualifications
Strong video production skills, including planning, shooting, and coordinating branding video projects
Proficient camera operation and handling, with experience using professional or prosumer video equipment
Knowledge of lighting setups for various environments, including studio and on-location shoots
Hands-on experience shooting video for marketing, branding, or promotional content
Ability to collaborate with clients and creative teams, interpret brand guidelines, and follow creative direction
Basic familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) is a plus
Reliable transportation to on-site shoots across the Hampton Roads, Virginia Metropolitan Area
Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Previous experience in branding, marketing, or commercial videography is a plus
