For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director - Government Affairs to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Fort Washington, MD - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $240,300 – $380,200 annually

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the company’s Government Affairs strategy
  • Identify funding opportunities and messaging for the global Public Sector business
  • Engage with legislation and policy initiatives affecting company's operations
  • Align Government Affairs strategy with key business priorities across the organization
  • Manage a global Government Affairs strategy and develop critical industry relationships
  • Prepare for regulatory meetings and public testimony as needed
  • Act as company’s voice for Government Affairs in Washington, D.C

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in public policy or government affairs, preferably with complex software or SaaS solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, public administration, business, or equivalent
  • Ability to collaborate with industry groups to achieve objectives and communicate effectively with government officials
  • Experience building relationships and policies with federal, state, and local government entities, with a focus on U.S. federal regulations
  • Proven capability in monitoring legislation and advising on business impacts
  • Relevant experience in-house, in trade associations, or similar settings will be considered
  • Strong skills in prioritization and innovative thinking within a collaborative team environment
