Position Summary
The Software Engineer will be responsible for building custom software solutions of high‑quality while following the coding standards and technical design. IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL RESIDE IN OR NEAR SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.
Responsibilities
- Designs and develops software applications
- Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process
- May direct the work of other software engineers.
- Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project or product.
- Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
- Some travel is expected, up to 20%
- Provide 24x7 hour support for customer issues.
Qualifications
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience designing and developing software applications
- Experience with applications for automated or warehouse management systems.
- Java
- Proficiency with Java and the JDK Framework
- Proficiency with Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Proficiency with troubleshooting/debugging software applications
- Experience with the following technologies:
i. Java Messaging Service
ii. Java Servlet
iii. Windows Services
iv. Microsoft SQL Server
v. Oracle
vi. TCP/IP - Having experience with the following development tools:
- Eclipse
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)

- Microsoft Visio

- Proficiency with C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework
