Summary:
We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to support our Social Media Manager in the planning, development, execution, and management of social media content, campaigns, and marketing programs. This role operates within a B2B, technology distribution environment, where social media is used to engage partners, vendors, resellers, and internal stakeholders, not direct consumers.
The role blends creative execution with operational rigor and is ideal for someone who enjoys building and managing campaigns end-to-end, working within social platforms, analytics, and project management tools, and ensuring commitments, timelines, budgets, performance tracking, and brand standards are consistently met. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and critical thinking to translate strategy into effective, on-brand social content while supporting cross-functional coordination and program accountability.
This role includes period travel for events, activations, and on-site capture.
Responsibilities:
Content Development & Campaign Execution
Assist in developing and executing social media content plans and integrated campaigns aligned to marketing programs and business priorities in a B2B technology distribution context
Create, update, schedule, and manage social media posts across platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, as applicable)
Support multi-post campaigns, series, promotions, and event-based content calendars
Draft captions, hashtags, and post copy aligned with brand voice and messaging
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery across all content
Utilize AI tools responsibly to support ideation, drafting, optimization, and performance insights while applying human judgment and brand standards
Write and refine prompts for AI-supported content development when appropriate
Critical Thinking, Writing & Strategic Support
Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to translate social media strategy into effective posts and campaigns
Write clear, concise, and compelling copy tailored to B2wB technology distribution audience
Adapt messaging across platforms while maintaining brand voice and accuracy
Identify patterns, risks and opportunities based on performance, feedback, and engagement
Recommend content refinements and optimizations grounded in data, insights, and business context
Ask thoughtful questions to ensure posts, campaigns, and commitments are aligned before execution
Platform, Analytics, Paid Social Support & Optimization
Manage day-to-day activity within social platforms and publishing tools
Support paid social campaigns, including promoted posts, campaign set up, audience targeting inputs, and creative variations and monitoring
Track and report on organic and paid performance metrics including engagement, reach, impressions, and growth and campaign ROI
Support campaign analysis, insights, and optimization recommendations
Stay current on platform trends, updates, and best practices
Community Monitoring & Engagement
Monitor social media channels for comments, mentions and direct messages
Respond to routine inquiries and engagements in alignment with brand voice and escalation guidelines
Field, flag, route, or escalate partner, vendor, customer, or reputational issues appropriately
Track recurring questions, themes, or feedback to inform content planning and program improvements
Support timely engagement during campaigns, events, and high-visibility moments
This role may require periodic monitoring or response outside traditional business hours during campaigns, events, or time-sensitive situations
Marketing Program, Investment & Expense Tracking
Track social media marketing programs, campaign investments, and related expenses
Support documentation and reporting tied to B2B marketing initiatives and vendor-supported campaigns
Align social activities to program goals, partner commitments, and outcomes
Maintain organized records of campaign performance related to spending and investment
Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination
Manage tasks and workflows within Adobe Workfront to support content development, approvals, and execution
Coordinate reviews, approvals, revisions, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across teams
Follow up with internal teams, vendors, or partners to ensure timely feedback
Fulfill vendor, partner, or client social commitments, ensuring accuracy and alignment
Maintain clear documentation and follow-through on assigned projects
Brand, Logo & Quality Governance
Ensure all social content adheres to brand standards, logo usage guidelines, and visual identity requirements
Coordinate with brand and design teams as needed
Maintain consistency across channels while adapting content for platform-specific best practices
Visual Content Creation (Photography, Videography & Design Support)
Capture photography and short-form video for social media, particularly around events, activations, and on-site moments
Edit photos and videos using Adobe Creative Suite or comparable tools
Develop reels, stories, and short clips that enhance campaign storytelling
Apply graphic design skills to create or modify social graphics in alignment with brand guidelines
Support storyboarding and visual planning for social-first campaigns
Maintain an organized library of approved visual assets
Tools & Technology Expectations
Experience with major social platforms and publishing tools
Proficiency with social analytics and reporting tools
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator or similar)
Experience working in project management tools such as Adobe Workfront (or similar)
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Comfort leveraging AI tools responsibly for content ideation, drafting, optimization and workflow efficiency
Ability to obtain and maintain administrative or contributor access to company social media pages and accounts across platforms
In certain platforms, access to company pages may be granted through employee's professional social media profile in accordance with platform policies. Candidates must be comfortable maintaining a professional online presence aligned with company brand standards.
Requires comfort navigating between company-managed accounts and platform-based access structures as needed.
Additional Role Expectations
Willingness to travel periodically for events, activations, and content capture
Ability to support timely monitoring engagement during campaigns, events, or high-visibility moments, which may occasionally require responsiveness outside traditional business hours
Candidates should be comfortable using mobile devices for content capture and timely engagement during events or activations. Equipment access and access protocols will align with company policy.
Requirements:
1-3+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content marketing within a B2B, technology, distribution, or channel-focused environment
Strong writing, editing, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear, compelling social content aligned to brand voice and marketing strategy
Experience executing organic and paid social campaigns including post creation, scheduling, promoted content support, audience targeting inputs, performance tracking, and optimization
Proficiency with social publishing, analytics, and reporting tools with experience measuring engagement, reach, impressions, growth, and campaign performance
Hands-on photography and short-form video capture and editing experience for social media, using Adobe Creative Suite or comparable tools
Intermediate graphic design capability for social-first assets
Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience coordinating timelines, reviews, approvals, and deliverables across internal teams, vendors, and partners
Experience working in project management tools (Adobe Workfront or similar) to support workflows, documentation, and on-time execution
High attention to detail and comfort working within brand standards, logo usage guidelines, and platform-specific best practices
Experience supporting marketing programs and expense tracking, including documenting campaigns, aligning activity to program goals, and maintaining organizer performance records relative to spending
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
