Overview Regional Account Manager - Eurofins Buffalo Environment Testing Northeast, LLC is seeking a regional outside sales professional to support growth in the New York Upstate region. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities and managing accounts within the local municipal market, industry, and consultant segments. The aim is to maximize market share, profitability, competitive advantage, and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market. The incumbent will establish and maintain productive relationships with Eurofins Environment Testing clients, communicate services to new customers, and act as a customer advocate by conveying needs to the internal organization.
This position targets business development and growth within 150 miles of Upstate New York and requires about 75% travel time.
Responsibilities
Develop, qualify, track, and close leads
ew business opportunities to grow revenue in the municipal market segment and meet company and individual goals.
Establish and maintain productive working relationships between the client and laboratory including sales management, inside business development, technical, and project management staff.
Ensure customer awareness of Eurofins Buffalo Laboratories Environment Testing capabilities and services to improve selling opportunities.
Monitor accounts receivable status for accounts assigned and resolve collection issues as required.
Develop and recommend strategies to facilitate pricing and bid
o bid decisions, establish Master Service agreements and provide budgetary information.
Report sales activity within the assigned area via CRM system and reports.
Maintain productive relationships between customers and the Eurofins Environment Testing organization.
Identify key target markets and major accounts and develop strategies within the area of responsibility to attain market position and maintain profitability.
Establish, coordinate, negotiate, and complete contracts with support from the Eurofins legal team and Sales Director.
Collect and document information to establish pricing and evaluate Eurofins Environment Testing’s ability to meet customer requirements, to assess win/loss ratios, discounting, and profitability.
Effectively communicate customer needs to Eurofins Environment Testing.
Communicate all business opportunities (bids, quotes, proposals, and pricing inquiries) to the internal business development team to initiate and compete quotes and proposals and close sales.
Control expenses related to the selling function per company policy.
Provide forecasting information to Customer Service Managers to assist operational planning.
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA in Sciences or related field
5-10 years progressively successful sales experience in a service industry
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Ideal Candidates will have:
Lab experience and exposure to environmental industry or degree in a science discipline is a plus
Selling skills including prospect identification, interviewing, negotiating, and closing
Working computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with lab functions and terminology or the ability to learn
Strong interpersonal, organization, analytical, and planning skills
Additional Information
Position is full-time, with general working hours defined as Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with occasional evening networking or social commitments.
Starting base rate of $70,000-85,000, based on experience. This position also provides an additional commission plan, bi-weekly car allowance, and full benefits package.
