At Magna, we need an Account Manager to manage a book of business, including target pursuit, development, and production stage relationships.
Responsibilities
Target Pursuit Business
Create plan, lead the development, and execute customer strategies to secure targeted business.
Plan, lead, and manage the quote process for targeted programs to completion with the divisions.
Ensure all appropriate customer deliverables are addressed in the final quote submission package.
Use commercial negotiation skills to find solutions and resolutions.
Ensure purchase orders and customer authorizations are correct and properly received.
Recommend pricing strategies and manufacturing process efficiencies to maximize profits.
Business in Development
Plan, lead, and manage the commercial elements on each program throughout development.
Ensure program deliverables and timing are understood by the divisions, and customer expectations are met.
Recommend pricing strategies and manufacturing process efficiencies to maximize profits.
Business in Production
Plan, lead, and manage all commercial elements of the program through launch and production.
Ensure program deliverables and timing are understood by the divisions and customer expectations are met.
Recommend pricing strategies and manufacturing process efficiencies to maximize profits.
Perform an effective review of customer activities to identify impacts and sales opportunities.
Coordinate communication on development and sales opportunities with the global team.
Communicate accurate customer and supplier intelligence to managers and teams.
Represent the company professionally with integrity and enthusiasm.
Develop professional relationships of trust and integrity with customers, divisions, teams, and suppliers.
Network effectively to utilize company resources.
Collaborate with Business Development Leads to set goals and action plans for Target Pursuit.
Ensure divisions are trained and competent in customer processes and procedures.
Accept other job duties as required or assigned.
Resolve commercial issues and open issues promptly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Written and verbal English language skills.
5+ Years of automotive sales experience, preferably with Japanese OEMs.
Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
