About the Role
This role will support a collaborative commercial operations and customer account team responsible for managing RFQ activity, quote coordination, customer communication, and ongoing account support within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience supporting automotive supplier or manufacturing customer accounts, commercial operations, quoting processes, or program coordination activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate RFQ activity, quote preparation, pricing documentation, and customer commercial support activities
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments regarding customer requests, engineering changes, quote activity, production support, and ongoing account coordination
- Maintain and update commercial documentation, quote records, customer information, and reporting metrics within internal business systems
- Monitor customer communications, open items, and commercial activities to ensure timely follow-up and completion
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Estimating, Accounting, and Program Management teams
- Support launch coordination, customer meetings, ongoing production support activities, and account-management initiatives
- Assist with identifying opportunities for process improvement, quoting efficiency, and customer support optimization
- Participate in occasional customer visits, plant meetings, and limited regional travel activities as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience within automotive manufacturing, supplier sales support, account management, commercial operations, customer service, quoting, or related customer-facing manufacturing environments
- Prior experience supporting RFQ processes, quote coordination, pricing activities, or customer commercial support functions
- Experience supporting OEM and/or Tier-1 automotive customer accounts preferred
- Strong understanding of customer communication, manufacturing workflows, engineering changes, and account coordination processes
- Proficiency within Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting/documentation functions
- Experience working within ERP, CRM, quoting, or proprietary business systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and customer requests simultaneously
- Professional verbal and written communication skills with both customers and internal cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated and proactive with strong follow-through and accountability
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Required Skills
- Experience within automotive supplier, Tier-1, Tier-2, or OEM manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting customer launches, production programs, engineering changes, or commercial operations activities
- Familiarity with customer portals, quoting systems, or automotive commercial processes
- Experience utilizing Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Plex, or related ERP/CRM systems
- Experience supporting automotive plastics, engineered components, injection molding, fastening systems, or related manufacturing products
- Ability to professionally manage customer expectations and maintain strong working relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Interest in long-term career growth within a stable manufacturing organization
Pay range and compensation package
Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus Potential
