Positions:

Supervisor of Media Services
The Supervisor of Media Services provides districtwide leadership, supervision, and strategic direction for technology operations, instructional media services, digital learning resources, and information systems. This position ensures that all schools and departments have access to reliable, secure, modern, and effective technology and media services that support teaching, learning, student achievement, staff productivity, and district operations.
The Supervisor serves as a key administrative leader who bridges information technology, instructional support, library/media programming, digital citizenship, cybersecurity, and compliance. The successful candidate will lead efforts to maintain a forward-thinking digital and information literacy ecosystem across all district buildings.
Locations:

This is a districtwide administrative position requiring regular travel among schools and district facilities. The Supervisor of Media Services works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, vendors, and community partners to ensure technology and media services are effective, secure, accessible, and aligned with district needs.
Qualifications

Administrative, supervisory, instructional technology, media services, or school district technology experience preferred.
Experience supporting technology systems, instructional platforms, staff training, or media services in an educational setting preferred.
Strong understanding of educational technology, school-based information systems, networked environments, media services, and digital learning platforms.
Ability to lead teams, manage projects, solve problems, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, technology planning, instructional support, and compliance expectations in a school district setting.
Strong organizational, analytical, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of service, security, and accountability.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Operations

Provide leadership and oversight for district technology systems, infrastructure, networks, devices, software platforms, and related services.
Develop and implement short- and long-range plans aligned with district goals, instructional priorities, and operational needs.
Supervise staff and coordinate support services to ensure timely, effective resolution of technical issues.
Oversee districtwide inventory, device management, software licensing, system upgrades, and replacement cycles.
Support cybersecurity, data privacy, acceptable use, and technology compliance practices.
Monitor emerging technologies and recommend appropriate tools, systems, and improvements.
Media Services and Instructional Support

Provide leadership for school library/media services, digital resources, instructional technology, and information literacy programs.
Support media coordinators, librarians, teachers, and administrators in the effective use of instructional technology and digital learning tools.
Promote student and staff access to high-quality digital content, research tools, media resources, and learning platforms.
Assist with the development of programs that strengthen digital citizenship, responsible technology use, and information literacy.
Collaborate with instructional leaders to ensure technology and media services support curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student achievement.
Administrative and Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise, evaluate, and support assigned technology and media services personnel.
Prepare reports, presentations, budgets, recommendations, and updates for district leadership.
Assist with grant planning, purchasing, vendor coordination, contracts, and technology-related funding opportunities.
Coordinate professional development for staff related to technology systems, instructional tools, digital platforms, and media services.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, policies, and procedures related to technology, accessibility, records, student data, and digital resources.
Serve as a liaison among schools, district departments, vendors, community partners, and leadership teams.

The starting salary for this position is $88,500 per year, with benefits provided in accordance with district policy.
