The Procurement and Supplier Quality Directorate of Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans (MP) at the Sindelfingen site is the driving force behind the global purchasing and quality activities for the Mercedes-Benz brand's cars and vans. We are responsible for the strategic design and operational implementation of global purchasing activities as well as material group strategies. Our goal is to optimize the entire value chain and unlock significant cost-saving potentials to ensure the success of our products worldwide.
Within this dynamic environment, the series management acts as a central interface. It coordinates all purchasing and quality processes that are crucial for the successful market launch of our future vehicle models. This includes close and regular coordination with the strategic project management as well as with our cross-functional partners from development, quality, sales, logistics, controlling, and cost planning. Furthermore, the series management is responsible for coordinating the localization scopes for our production plants on four continents – a task that requires global networking and precision.
Your tasks – challenges that will inspire you:
- Active support in strategically important new product projects that shape the future of Mercedes-Benz
- Participation in the cross-departmental coordination of activities between development, quality, production, suppliers, and aftersales to ensure a smooth project flow
- Independent processing of exciting work packages within the series management
- Professional data preparation for the project management to enable informed decisions on new product awards and changes in the ongoing series
- Comprehensive support of the team in daily operations, for example, in the creation of decision templates or the further development and optimization of our processes
The position can start in September 2026.
Your profile – what you bring:
- A successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
- Basic knowledge in purchasing and materials management is beneficial and facilitates your entry
- Excellent PC/IT skills in all common applications (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- Fluent German and English skills in speech and writing
- A motivated and independent working style, coupled with high reliability and a self-confident demeanor
- High commitment, a strong willingness to engage, and an outstanding ability to work in a team to achieve common goals
