The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music's Global Jazz Studies IDP invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in Instruction in Advanced Jazz Performance: Saxophone for the 2026-27 academic year. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with teaching load.

Responsibilities
Provide individual student instruction in advanced saxophone performance. Impart knowledge of jazz repertoire, concepts, and techniques through private lessons on specific instruments.

Qualifications

Advanced expertise in group and solo instruction of a diverse mixture of jazz saxophone at the university level.

Knowledge of jazz repertoire, concepts, and techniques.

University teaching experience preferred.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
