$18.85-$26.39/hourly

*This figure shown represents the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education and skill level.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MEMBER ACCOUNT SPECIALIST
Member Service

Communicate effectively with prospective and current members and represent the credit union positively and professionally

Open new accounts

Set up new account files and provide members with all the necessary information for membership including IRA Accounts, Trust Accounts and professional accounts

Research account discrepancies and assist members in balancing their accounts

Provide support on the teller line

Service Selling

Promote, explain, and cross-sell other credit union services such as electronic services, debit cards and credit cards

Provide information on investment alternatives to deposit funds with the credit union

Look for opportunities to improve members’ financial well-being including loan referrals to a lending employee

Technical Skills

Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of credit union products and on all related policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including robbery procedures
