This position is responsible for maintaining high levels of production, quality, and yield while ensuring the safest possible work environment. The role requires a strong understanding and control of the production process, accurate record‑keeping, and effective line maintenance and staffing.
Responsibilities
Reviewing daily production orders to ensure customer needs are met
Ensuring all positions are staffed prior to production start‑up
Overseeing team member warm‑up exercises and job rotation to support ergonomics
Monitoring machinery to ensure optimal performance
Verifying all workstations pass USDA inspection standards
Promoting safety daily and through monthly safety meetings
Ensuring accurate shipments, proper inventory rotation, and correct product coding
Communicating company benefits and compensation to team members
Supporting team development through training, coaching, and retention efforts
Handling employee relations, including counseling on personal and professional matters
Maintaining records of reworked or returned products
Providing ongoing education on quality standards
Collaborating with other supervisors to resolve operational challenges
Performing additional duties as needed
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required; additional education (vocational training or college coursework) preferred
Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency preferred
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills required
Supervisory Experience: Experience managing a team performing similar or related tasks
Travel: 1–5 trips per year
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:30PM – 2:30AM (may require extended hours based on business needs)
