Senior Event Production Technician
The Senior Event Production Technician will play a critical role in the design, setup and support of onsite and hybrid events for an established global technology client. This role is responsible for:
Using their technical expertise and creative innovation to contribute to the overall technical strategy of live events based on the creative vision and unique event scope;
Utilizing deep knowledge of video equipment and technology to ensure flawless operation of all video equipment and making real‑time adjustments as needed to ensure quality control;
Collaborating with team members to optimize the operational setup of the production control room and oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of all aspects of the client’s production facilities and control rooms.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Senior Event Production Technician will design, set up, and support onsite and hybrid events for a global technology client.
Use technical expertise and creative innovation to contribute to the overall technical strategy of live events;
Utilize deep knowledge of video equipment and technology to ensure flawless operation and real‑time adjustments as needed;
Collaborate with team members to optimize the operational setup of the production control room and maintain all client production facilities.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Coordination
Provide technical consultation on the production design of live event experiences, ensuring high‑quality video, audio, lighting, and presentation;
Meet with client teams to understand event scope and propose strategy solutions;
Coordinate technical production needs and ensure compliance with policies and procedures;
Facilitate equipment rental and other supplemental production requirements;
Ensure quality check and optimization of facility, event assets, and experience prior to production;
Assist with presenter preparation, direction, rehearsal and pre‑event needs;
Oversee post‑production editing and delivery of recordings;
Organize event metrics and feedback, and provide recommendations for improvement;
Participate in assessment of technical challenges and create incident and post‑mortem reports;
Collaborate on recommendations for studio and event spaces based on operational requirements;
Attend regular meetings with team members to ensure alignment on procedures, scheduling, and briefs.
Technical Events
Oversee the production design, setup, and configuration of all necessary control‑room elements for high‑quality client events;
Maintain all relevant hardware, equipment, and production assets, and test and perform quality control before events;
Define the operational approach to fulfill creative production needs for client events, including:
Technical directing
Audio mixing
Robotic cameras
Virtual platforms
Graphics
Video playback
Streaming
Lighting design
Teleprompter
Execution of virtual events on platforms such as StreamYard, Wirecast, and VMix;
Provide support for staging and creative lighting design;
Support post‑production editing for event recordings;
Mentor Event Technicians and collaborate on training programs;
Serve as the primary onsite support for troubleshooting control‑related equipment;
Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment and optimize configurations;
Coordinate repair and maintenance support with regional technical leadership.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must‑have skills & qualifications
3+ years of experience in live event production, event coordination, broadcast, or video production;
1+ years of experience in onsite, virtual, and hybrid live events, database and scheduling management, and studio production;
Experience with control‑room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software;
Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms;
Attention to detail and understanding of creative broadcast production;
Highly organized, flexible, and working well in a team and individually;
Ability to remain composed and maintain a positive attitude under pressure;
Strong work ethic, self‑direction, patience, and excellent customer relationship skills;
Excellent communication skills and confident leadership when communicating with clients.
Nice‑to‑have skills
Experience with Ross production environments and video switchers such as Ultrix routers, Carbonite, and Ultra switchers;
Experience with audio production systems including Yamaha consoles, Dante networks, Shure microphones, and intercoms;
Experience with Panasonic PTZ cameras;
College degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or a related field.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record;
Travel required to client offices, AVI‑SPL VideoLink offices, and other production locations.
