BICO Drilling Tools, Inc. is a Global manufacturer and service provider of standard and customized drilling equipment including PD Drilling Motors, Thru‑Tubing Motors, PBL Bypass Subs and Jetting Tools, Non‑Mag Collars, Drilling Jars, Shock Absorbers, and Even Wall® Power Sections.

Position Summary
Responsible for operating injection machines and ovens. The Production Tech performs technical and maintenance tasks to ensure the quality and efficiency of manufacturing equipment. This includes operating, monitoring, and maintaining injection molding machines and ovens, troubleshooting malfunctions, and conducting quality checks on finished products. The role also involves tasks like setting up machines, managing materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and documenting production data.

Duties & Responsibilities

Works with injection machines and ovens

Will operate torque master machine to assemble and disassemble stator tubes

Operates automated machinery for coating

Will operate overhead crane

Fulfill work orders

Operate pressure washer

Operate manual lathe

Injection molding machine

Work with autoclave

Assemble and disassemble injection tooling and molds

Inspect stators to ensure they meet quality standards

Will work with automated machinery to coat inside of stators and also to sand blast the I.D. of the stator

Handle high‑temperature tubing following all safety guidelines

Troubleshoot production issues and assist with resolutions

Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean work area

Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment
This position will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail, safety, and efficiency are critical. The role requires spending significant time on the production floor, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. The environment may involve exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variations, and other typical factory conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, and the position may involve standing for extended periods, walking frequently throughout the facility, and occasional lifting of moderate weight. Collaboration with production staff, quality control, maintenance, and management teams is essential to maintain smooth operations and meet production goals.

Requirements

Minimum 1–3 years of relevant industry experience.

Able to advise on service and repair to the equipment, building and grounds as required and work with outside vendors for scheduling and supervising of service and repair.

Able to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane).

Strong “hands‑on” mechanical aptitude.

Proven track record for excellent project management.

Valid driver’s license and/or record that conforms to company requirements.

Must be U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States of America, and able to travel outside the U.S. when needed.

Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and components, up to 25 pounds.

Operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, copier/printer/scanning machine.

Sit and/or stand for long periods of time, up to 8–10 hours a day.

Walk/travel to production areas while wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), which at a minimum includes safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes/boots and other PPE.
