About The Role
Chime is looking for a Creative Director to lead the creative strategy, systems, and execution behind our Growth and Product Marketing functions. The role reports to the Head of Creative and owns the creative vision and output across performance marketing, lifecycle communications, web, organic growth content, DRTV, product branding, and product go‑to‑market campaigns.
The position sits at the intersection of brand, growth, product storytelling, and emerging technology—translating member insights, product value, and audience behavior into creative that drives acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention.
We are seeking a creative leader who believes great growth creative is great creative: insight‑led, emotionally resonant, distinctive, brand‑building, and built to drive measurable action. This is a people‑manager role for someone who knows how to build and lead high‑performing creative teams, develop talent, and create systems that help great ideas scale. It is also a hands‑on creative leadership role; you will manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team while remaining closely involved in the work.
You will also help shape the future of Chime’s AI‑enabled creative practice, exploring how new tools, workflows, and agent‑powered systems can increase speed, personalization, experimentation, localization, versioning, QA, performance analysis, and scale without compromising craft, distinctiveness, or brand quality.
Responsibilities
- Own the creative vision, systems, and output across Growth and Product Marketing, ensuring the work is strategically sharp, culturally relevant, brand‑building, and performance‑driving.
- Lead creative across paid social, display, streaming, video, SEM, DRTV, web, lifecycle communications, product GTM campaigns, PMM toolkits, and organic growth content.
- Partner closely with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, channel leads, data, brand, legal, and compliance teams to develop creative strategies rooted in product positioning, audience insights, funnel stage, and performance goals.
- Lead, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary creative team that may include ACDs, art directors, designers, copywriters, video editors, motion designers, and emerging creative specialists.
- Set creative direction, run reviews, elevate the quality of the work, and create a culture of creative excellence, curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop scalable creative toolkits, campaign systems, frameworks, operating models, and production approaches that help high‑quality work move faster.
- Shape the team’s AI‑enabled creative workflow strategy, identifying where tools and agent‑based systems can improve ideation, production, versioning, personalization, localization, QA, analysis, and creative throughput.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in creative roles, with at least 3‑5 years in a leadership position overseeing performance or growth‑focused creative.
- Deep experience with DTC creative—you understand how to build for the feed, how to test, and how to read results.
- Strong portfolio of paid social, digital, and video creative with measurable performance outcomes.
- Fluency in the full funnel—from awareness through conversion—and how creative strategy shifts across stages.
- Proven ability to lead a creative team while staying close to the work yourself.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional partners in growth, PMM, data, and brand.
- Comfort working in a fast‑moving, test‑and‑learn environment where speed and quality both matter.
- Experience with or genuine curiosity about AI creative tools and how they can accelerate production and testing.
