Internship Overview Begin a Fall 2026 Media Production Internship with WKRG-TV / wkrg.com in Mobile, Alabama. You will observe and work with Studio Production and Content Creation teams, gaining experience in live and pre‑recorded program production for broadcast, OTT, website, apps, and social media. The internship focuses on the Ross Overdrive automated production system and Open Broadcast System (OBS) live‑streaming technology, visual communication, graphics design, and video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Responsibilities Assist in the production of live and pre‑recorded television and digital content.
Set up and operate the Ross Overdrive system and OBS for live streams.
Design and create graphics and visual elements for broadcast and social media.
Edit video footage in Adobe Premiere Pro to produce polished segments.
Collaborate with content creators and technical staff to meet production deadlines.
Participate in internal meetings, orientation sessions, and briefings to learn broadcasting workflows.
Qualifications College student currently enrolled in a program related to production, film, communications, digital media, journalism, or a similar field.
Basic working knowledge of cameras, audio, switchers, graphics, and other production equipment.
Familiarity with timeline‑based editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
Strong desire to learn and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced production environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Availability to work a 10‑hour weekly schedule, with flexibility to meet production needs.
Internship Details In‑person internship based at WKRG’s main broadcast and digital studios in Mobile.
Supervised by a station supervisor who will oversee attendance, performance, and educational value.
Unpaid internship; students seeking academic credit will receive priority consideration.
Interns are responsible for their own transportation.
