Responsibilities Anchor newscasts.
Cover news events throughout the shift.
Provide breaking news coverage.
Perform general newsroom responsibilities.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Ability to work weekend days and odd shifts.
Flexibility to accommodate fill‑in needs.
Well‑rounded communication skills for conducting interviews.
Excellent writing and editing skills; proficiency in grammar.
Proficiency in media production and broadcast systems.
Ability to plan, organize, set priorities, and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
3+ years of on‑air journalism experience in a smaller market or college station.
4‑year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications.
Professional Attributes Respect for others and belief in mutual respect.
Ability to work within prescribed guidelines without close supervision.
Problem‑solving skills within established procedures.
Understanding of when to seek guidance for unforeseen problems.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Position type: Regular time, Part‑time; Pay type: Hourly.
