Musician

St. John Paul II Parish seeks to be united in worship as we offer the Sacrifice of the Mass and celebrate other liturgies. Our musicians help us to praise God in one voice, as they accompany the choir and all the faithful in song. We are looking for a musician for St. Bartholomew Church in Cape Elizabeth. The primary responsibility will be to provide organ and/or piano accompaniment for the 9:00 am Sunday Mass, which includes directing a cantor and choir. There may be opportunities to play for other Masses, including holy day, funeral, and wedding Masses, as well as potential to serve as a substitute musician for weekend Masses at other parish churches.
The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic with familiarity and knowledge of the Catholic liturgy and experience with music accompaniment and working with a choir.
