Volunteer Program Requirements / Job Description

Be available to work 15–22 hours per week during regular business hours at DMFLF HQ Princeton, NJ.

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer and subject matter competency.

Be self‑motivated, organized, willing to help with any project, no matter how large or small, and balance multiple priorities at once.

Have a strong desire to make a difference, a passion for the DMFLF mission, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor.

Marketing / Social Media
Content Writer

Create content for Google organic (SEO) and paid (AdWords) programs.

Write compelling pieces for our blog, newsletter, and related marketing collateral.

Track content effectiveness and create a continuous process of improvement.

Write scripts for "Fin on the Street" videos – segments where the marketing team interviews citizens on the street about making better financial decisions.

Credentials

1–2+ years of content writing, preferably in Digital Marketing or Online Media.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, or another mass communication discipline, or pursuing an undergraduate degree.

Experience in multi‑channel content creation.

Passion for and confidence with grammar, syntax, and technical aspects of writing.

Solid verbal communication and writing skills.

Genuine enthusiasm and curiosity.

Ability to work both independently and within a group environment, as needed.

Willingness to keep learning and embrace new strategies as they arise.

Previous editorial or agency experience is a plus.

Associate Analyst

Collaborate with the Marketing Social Media Team to explore opportunities that can improve the donor experience, optimize acquisition strategies, and drive incremental revenue.

Define donor segments and identify behavioral differences.

Develop and analyze experiments to evaluate the performance of marketing strategies, campaigns, and other initiatives.

Explore various sources of information (social media, website, research data, industry sources) to gain insights, support decision‑making processes, and inform strategy.

Identify potential regional differences in media consumption and donor behavior.

Communicate and present findings.

Qualifications / Requirements

Familiarity with A/B testing.

Solid knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, charts, and graphs).

Team player and self‑starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, and/or Computer Science.

Social Media Coordinator (Volunteer)
Duties And Responsibilities:

Creating and providing content for all our social media outlets.

Increasing following and keeping current followers engaged.

Managing Facebook Page, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Staying abreast of current events, news, photos, infographics, and other creative opportunities.

Working with multimedia and design volunteers to use stories, photos, and videos to strengthen marketing efforts, increase reach, and contribute to marketing campaigns that raise awareness.

Qualifications / Requirements

1+ years of experience in Social Media Marketing.

Passion for content development and creative thinking.

Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Extremely organized and detail‑oriented.

Ability to work independently and collectively with the team.

Ability to define and meet deadlines.

Qualifications / Skills
We prefer to hire only juniors and seniors as well as alumnae who are recently graduated.

Compensation
All positions are volunteer‑based; no monetary compensation is provided.
