MPL Texas City Terminal and Marine Dock Operator
The Operations/Operator position is located at Marathon Pipeline’s Marine Dock and Terminal facility in Texas City, TX. This position works in and around LPG and petroleum products and connecting pipelines, executing operations and logistics, periodic measurement activities, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will facilitate and monitor pipeline movements, marine dock operations, and conduct product sampling in accordance with all regulatory requirements. Travel, call‑outs, and overtime will be required on an as‑needed basis. The candidate must be willing to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine station checks and resolve station alarms.

Respond to right‑of‑way conflicts when necessary.

Generate computerized work requests in SAP for maintenance tasks.

Coordinate and communicate maintenance activities.

Complete all required training and perform work in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree in a technical field is preferred.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Proficiency in basic computer skills is expected.

Previous pipeline and marine dock operations experience is highly preferred.

3‑5 years of professional work experience is highly preferred.

TWIC is required.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in confined spaces for extended periods.

Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Must work at elevated heights.

Must climb up/down ladders and stairs.

Must bend, squat, twist at the waist, and reach overhead, in addition to seated computer‑based work.
