Position Summary
At Proof Strategies, we believe trust is earned, and we work every day to help our clients do just that.
As a right-sized agency, we partner with mission-driven government agencies, cause-based nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and growing companies with an expanding U.S. footprint. As the Washington, D.C. office of one of North America's leading independent communications consultancies, we combine the capabilities of a larger firm with the responsiveness, flexibility, and direct access of a boutique team.
As our Washington office continues to grow, we're always interested in connecting with talented communications professionals across a range of experience levels, from Account Executives to Senior Directors. We welcome candidates with approximately 2-10+ years of experience depending on background, expertise, and specialization.
Our team supports a wide range of public relations and strategic communications initiatives, including securing national, trade, political, and consumer media coverage; supporting Capitol Hill and stakeholder events; developing communications strategies around major announcements, research releases, and policy initiatives; advising senior leaders; and helping organizations navigate complex communications challenges.
We are looking for people who are collaborative, flexible, and motivated by growth. The ideal candidates are comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating directly with clients, adapting quickly, and operating thoughtfully in politically sensitive or fast-moving environments. Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, professionalism, and a willingness to learn are just as important to us as technical communications skills.
Good humor is a must! Only candidates residing in the greater Washington, D.C. area will be considered.

Our Work Culture
As a growing office, we value people who are willing to raise their hand, take ownership, contribute ideas, and step outside traditional job descriptions when opportunities arise. Some of the best professional growth happens when you're trusted with challenges you haven't tackled before.
We work hard, support one another, and genuinely enjoy what we do. While our work often involves serious issues and high-profile organizations, we think a sense of humor goes a long way.
Our team works in a hybrid environment, with two days per week in our office near Gallery Place-Chinatown and three days remotely.
