General Summary

The Director will be responsible for the administration of the TRiO Student Support Services program. The responsibilities will include: implementing, administering, monitoring, supervising, and evaluating the TRiO program. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Directs the day-to-day administrative operations of the TRiO project according to the funded proposal and federal, CCC and department policies and procedures. Ensures grant compliance by maintaining appropriate documentation and by managing grant objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Required data will be reported to the DOE yearly (APR).

Supports and assists in grant development and compliance oversight for the SSS project, including documentation, budgeting and reporting according to applicatble Federal statutes, regulations, and guidance such as Edgar, 2CFR 200, accounting principles, Uniform Guidance, and college policies and procedures.

3. Develop, manage, and monitor program budgets in alignment with grant and institutional policies. Authorize expenditures and ensure responsible use of federal funds.

5. Directs, develops, and implements program evaluation and assessment activities to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of project services. Track student participation, engagement, and academic outcomes. Develop and maintain data systems for reporting and decision-making. Prepare institutional and federal reports on outcomes and performance in accordance with DOE and institutional requirements.

6. Maintain alliances with internal and external partners to advocate for the Project. Acts as TRiO liaison in conjunction with Grants Department to the US Dept. of Education. Attend and participate in TRiO, COE, and higher education meetings and conferences.

7. Creates effective communication and relationships with college faculty, staff, administrators, high school and individuals in the community to enlist their support of the SSS Project. Market TRiO services to prospective and current students. Conduct presentations and outreach.

8. Assists with campus/college Student Success and Enrollment Managment activities and committees as requested (NSRO, graduation, campus visit day, etc.) Collaborate on college initiatives that support student access and success.

9. Manage and oversee the identification, recruitment, and selection processes for TRiO participants in compliance with federal guidelines. Supervise delivery of academic advising, mentoring, tutoring, and support services for SSS participants.

10. Recruits, recommends for hire, trains, supervises, develops, and evaluate performance of staff in the delivery of services to project participants. Monitor and approve schedules, leave and workload distribution.
