Engagement Manager, AWS ProServe

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team seeks a highly skilled Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. The role blends technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions, aligning business outcomes with technical decisions.
Key Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
Leverage knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes.
Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.

The ProServe organization partners with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide focused guidance through global specialty practices covering a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.
Basic Qualifications

3+ years of program or engagement management work leading multiple concurrent projects.
1+ year as a Scrum Master or Product Owner across cross-functional teams.
3+ years of cloud computing experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Experience with Agile and project management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne, or Taiga.
Preferred Qualifications

AWS certification.
Knowledge of public cloud value proposition and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Experience presenting to C-level executives and other senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and architecture.
Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
Experience applying AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.
