Job Overview
The Account Executive – Uniforms strategically targets potential customers to generate and grow new business in Vestis’s Uniforms Division. Responsibilities include prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting programs & solutions, and meeting a sales quota. The role involves developing relationships with customers, qualifying leads, generating revenue and market share, and meeting sales targets. The incumbent positions the Company’s value proposition and whole-product solution to build strong customer relationships and become a trusted business partner.
Responsibilities
Develop a customer base by using a systematic business development process to identify new prospects and cultivate relationships through cold calling, product materials, and presentations.
Develop and qualify leads within the territory to drive sales opportunities through lead generation campaigns.
Proactively initiate action with target customers by finding creative methods to establish and maintain customer engagement.
Secure a high number of first appointments with target customers’ decision makers.
Minimize the number of opportunities that move to callback status and ensure proper prospect funnel ratios are maintained at all times.
Follow through with all selling activities to maximize close ratio.
Possess strong persuasion and closing skills.
Manage target selling & strategic selling.
Maintain strong phone‑blocking/phone‑calling/door‑knocking activities.
Build and enhance strong customer relationships with multiple key decision makers and political influencers.
Conduct presentations to formally communicate current and future customer benefits.
Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and loyalty by utilizing all resources, tools, and technology provided.
Proactively address situations, anticipate possible problems, and work to solve them before they become an issue.
Conduct competitive market analysis, including territory, customer types, and competitive products.
Show a track‑record of being a master prospector.
Prepare informative presentations, investigate new prospect customers, monitor existing customers, and manage time and sales results.
Use the Company’s proprietary sales force automation software to manage daily sales activities.
Cooperate with other segments of the Company to ensure effective collaboration and shared sales opportunities.
Communicate the territory plan to obtain buy‑in and sell best practices.
Provide weekly prospect information and status updates to management.
Use a scheduling system to ensure effective use of time and keep customer appointments.
Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
Work independently and manage the territory.
Adapt to organizational changes and remain flexible and productive while focusing on sales goals.

Decision Making
Focus sales efforts in a geographical territory in coordination with and leadership from the appropriate manager.
Individualize a plan for each territory and decide the proper focus areas to attain sales goals within the Uniforms Division.
Demonstrate the ability to discern when a strategic pivot is needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
Proven success in developing new business and generating sales leads by managing a territory and selling activities.
Problem‑solving and negotiation skills, with emphasis on closing the sale.
Ability to utilize CRM & other sales technology (e.g., Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator).
Excellent presentation skills before small and large groups.
Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong self‑directed organizational skills to manage time effectively.
Demonstrated ability to execute on a plan and drive results.
Continuous learning and market awareness to maintain and upgrade skills.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
18–36 months or more of successful outside B2B sales experience selling value‑added, whole‑solution products.
Experience with market development concepts (adoption lifecycle, market development checklist, STP).
Experience with Customer Relationship Management Systems – Salesforce preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
At least 21 years of age.
Documented track record of success in B2B sales (brag book).
Previous President’s Club & demonstrated annual quota attainment.
Licensing Requirements / Certifications
Valid driver’s license.
Working Environment / Physical Requirements
Ability to travel overnight (10%).
Must have access to an operational motor vehicle.
Position is an outside sales role, requiring the majority of time in the field.
Willing to maintain professional/business attire.
Must perform needs assessments of customer facilities, which may involve bending.
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs to carry and deploy samples.
