We are looking for a creative and technically skilled
VFX Artist
to craft high-quality real-time visual effects for our project.
You will be responsible for creating impactful and optimized effects that enhance gameplay clarity, atmosphere, and immersion. This role requires both artistic sensibility and strong technical understanding of real-time systems.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a VFX Artist in game development
Experience working in Unreal Engine
Proficiency with Niagara particle systems
Solid understanding of materials, shaders, and real-time rendering
Experience creating textures for VFX (flipbooks, masks, noise maps, etc.)
Understanding of timing, motion, and visual rhythm
Ability to balance visual impact with performance constraints
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities
Create real-time VFX for gameplay, combat, environment and cinematics
Design effects that support gameplay readability and player feedback
Develop particle systems using Niagara
Create and optimize materials and shaders for VFX
Work closely with Design, Animation, and Tech Art teams
Ensure effects meet performance budgets across target platforms
Maintain visual consistency with the project’s art direction
Iterate based on gameplay and performance feedback
Would be a plus
Experience shipping a game title
Experience with stylized or realistic combat VFX
Knowledge of Blueprint systems
Experience with Houdini for procedural VFX generation
Understanding of lighting and post-processing pipelines
Experience optimizing for consoles
Basic scripting knowledge (Python or similar)
