Position Summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Sr. Reliability Technician, Production located in Wilson, North Carolina, USA. The role supports a new site startup and may require up to 25% travel. The MAM (MAKE Asset Management) organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems solutions, supporting manufacturing bioprocess and non‑process equipment. The Reliability Technician will ensure compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency and preventive maintenance, and support predictive, preventive, calibrations and repairs on GMP and non‑GMP equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing bioprocess equipment and non‑process equipment supporting manufacturing process, including bioreactors, autoclaves, centrifuges, CIPs, chromatography systems, buffer skids, filtration skids and laboratory equipment.
Execute predictive and preventive maintenance on GMP and non‑GMP process equipment.
Calibrate and repair instrumentation associated with GMP and non‑GMP utility systems, and maintain all calibration standards used for calibration tasks.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and provide repairs to electrical and control systems associated with bioprocess equipment, including PLCs and HMIs.
Review electrical, mechanical, and P&ID prints/drawings, interpret and respond to equipment and process alarms, and use diagnostic equipment to identify and repair problems.
Work with the team to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Project‑Leader:

Represent the shop as SME and/or coordinates all maintenance deliverables on site‑wide projects.
People‑Leader:

Self‑starter who takes initiative, trains others, acts as shop coordinator and substitutes for the Team Leader in absence. Prioritizes and plans work, and adds value after assigned work is completed.
Systems‑Leader:

Coordinates with business units outside maintenance, leads programs within the maintenance department, and identifies and defines problems, collects data, establishes facts and draws valid conclusions.
Qualifications

High School Diploma, Trade / Technical School certification or equivalent certification in a craft is required. Military equivalents are accepted.
4+ years of related industrial experience.
Proficiency in at least three maintenance disciplines: mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation.
Working knowledge of pharmaceutical or chemical process, utilities, and facilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP.
Ability to use industrial control systems and analyze data to draw rational conclusions.
Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Familiarity with electrical theory, thermal energy principles, mechanical maintenance techniques, and electromechanical theory.
Preferred: Knowledge of cGMP’s for Maintenance in a GMP‑regulated environment.
Preferred: Scientific or technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & controls, utilities engineering.
Preferred: Experience with Delta V, PLC, and SCADA systems.
