Position Summary
The Senior Director, Media is responsible for the success of a book of client business and associated team members. As a leader within the media team, this individual will provide strategic leadership while still demonstrating a deep knowledge of tactical “how‑to” and data analysis. This individual will also remain current on industry trends. The key objectives for this role are twofold: 1) to ensure the clients represented under this individual’s book of business are thrilled with DAC as their agency partner and 2) to be viewed as a leader by the team of subject matter experts that report to them, senior client contacts, and internal leadership.
What You’ll Do
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to Media SMEs in development and execution of client programs to meet campaign objectives
Oversee the development of media team members under this role’s management
Demonstrate expert‑level knowledge of how different channels and tactics play in integrated media plans
Tactical experience and knowledge should encompass SEM, Display/Programmatic, and Paid Social media at a minimum
Experience with additional digital channels/tactics, ad operations, media planning/buying, eCommerce/marketplace advertising, tracking/analytics, feed optimization, and audience creation in DMPs would all be pluses
Act as the escalation point for clients; identify and secure the appropriate DAC resources to solve for issues as required
Assist in development of new business pitch materials; attend and present in pitches
Ensure appropriate quoting (hours/fees) and profitable execution of client programs
Track and measure media program health and report on it to Vice President of Digital Media, agency executives and account teams, as required
Assist Senior Vice President of Digital Media with resource management/staffing, special projects, and operational management as required
Work collaboratively with media team members to oversee and improve internal processes to provide high‑quality service for clients
Support internal training initiatives including (co)authoring materials and leading training sessions
Cultivate meaningful relationships with key vendor/platform partners
Provide thought leadership (blog posts, POVs, speaking engagements, etc.)
What You Bring
12+ years of relevant experience in digital media
At least 7 years of proven experience developing teams of digital media professionals
Effective and impactful communication at all levels
Demonstrable experience with enterprise‑level client campaigns
Experience across multiple industry verticals is preferred
Demonstrable presentation skills (creation of materials and in‑room presentation)
Solid knowledge of tactics, vendors, methodologies, betas, and industry trends and topics
A growth mindset for expanding opportunities within the client base
Eager to understand, test and implement new methodologies with a view to improving service offering
Solid track record of growing clients and teams

Salary for this position is $170,000 to $190,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DAC’s total compensation package for employees.
