The Global Product Manager for Upstream AXIOS will be responsible for building, refining, and driving the short & long term pipeline development strategy for the AXIOS franchise. This person will develop and execute global franchise strategies, project prioritization, budget management, and value messaging with coaching, direction and training from their manager. This person will also develop clinical expertise and use that knowledge to educate the organization and also leverage that knowledge to build relationships with existing and new customers.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
Identifying unmet voice-of-the-customer needs and translating these into marketing specifications for the R&D team
Providing voice-of-the-customer marketing specifications to the R&D team
Guiding the writing of customer requirements documents, creating product labeling, defining user-validation activities, redeveloping regulatory claims, surgical technique generation and generating product forecasts
Developing and executing a comprehensive launch plan and strategy for new products including: developing product positioning, defining marketing messages and collateral, developing sales and physician education programs and training both domestic and international marketing and sales teams
Determining and leading market research to identify market needs and the corresponding product solution opportunities
Acquiring and analyzing feedback from key opinion leaders, current and potential customers, third party market research and internal stakeholders
Possessing an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry in general and more specifically, the segments targeted by assigned products, including the motivators for action
Creating and implementing market development strategies to target key customers
Maintaining a pulse on adjacent markets/technologies
Develop and define a hybrid portfolio approach that leverages new product development strategies through traditional internal R&D development and external development
This role will place a heavy emphasis on:
Ability to navigate a highly complex organization to guide new products through development lifecycle
Clinical acumen/strategy
Global connectivity with business partners and Physician Key Opinion Leaders to ensure the strategy is aligned to the global clinical and market needs
Build strategic plans for product launches with defined tactics for execution
Evidence generation strategies
Quality System Requirements:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree required
A minimum of 5 years of successful related business experience
Experience with products that are medically/clinically oriented
Demonstrated record of success working in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Domestic and global travel up to 40%
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
Prior experience in product management
R&D experience
Sales experience
Previous international experience
Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
