Information about the position
We’re looking for a new member of our Marketplace Planning & Performance (MaPP) team. MaPP is a central team of strategists who connect the dots between all our departments to ensure Vinted grows as planned. MaPP runs business development projects, country‑category level strategy (e.g. investment allocation, international expansion), financial planning and performance reporting. As a strategist within MaPP, you contribute to planning and performance cycles for a set of countries: setting targets, building plans to reach them, understanding how results deviate from the targets, and then setting new targets, etc.
In this position, you’ll
Shape how Vinted allocates investment and attention across markets — defining where and how we grow. You’ll help design proposals to grow our business.
Synthesise insights from across departments — Marketing, Shipping, Product, Pay, Community Support — into a coherent financial plan and forward‑looking forecasts.
Lead performance monitoring through monthly meetings and weekly reviews: you notice important trends, understand their drivers, and use those insights to reshape plans.
Drive cross‑functional projects that test bold hypotheses, translate data into strategy, and scale what works — shaping how markets grow.
About you
BSc/MSc in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar.
2+ years of experience in a high‑performance environment (consulting, VC, investment banking, tech strategy or financial planning), where you’ve learned to connect analysis, insight, and execution.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with an instinct for turning analysis into decisions and impact.
Experience with P&L forecasting and business case modelling.
Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English, capable of making complex ideas clear and actionable.
Structured and detail‑oriented, but comfortable with ambiguity; you can move between frameworks and first‑principles thinking, think in systems, and connect dots others don’t see.
Good at extracting, analysing and visualising quantitative data in automated ways, using Excel, Google Sheets, Looker/SQL is a plus.
Curious by nature, you want to understand how systems work, improve what’s there, and build where nothing exists yet. You thrive on shaping ideas into reality, not just analysing, but defining where we should go next.
You care about progress more than process, and believe that bold ideas, tested rigorously, drive real change.
