As an innovative company offering a wide array of products, we strive to continuously develop new technology and drive process improvement.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Director of Sales to support and execute the company’s commercial strategy across all in-house manufactured, company-owned brands within the firearms and outdoor CPG market. This role will focus on driving revenue growth, supporting margin improvement initiatives, and strengthening brand presence by aligning sales execution, marketing efforts, pricing strategy, and go-to-market planning.This position plays an important role in how we bring products to market. The ideal candidate is a hands-on commercial leader from a manufacturing environment who has experience supporting growth for brands that are designed, produced, and sold in-house. Experience in CPG or the firearms industry is strongly preferred due to the operational, regulatory, and channel complexities unique to this space.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Execution & Revenue GrowthSupport execution of the company’s sales strategy across wholesale, distribution, key accounts, e-commerce, and DTC channelsDrive revenue growth while maintaining focus on margin and cost efficiencyAssist with forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance tracking by channel and product lineBuild and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partnersSupport optimization of channel mix to improve profitability and reduce dependency riskTrack and report on key performance metrics such as sell-through, margin by SKU, and inventory movementMarketing, Brand & Go-To-Market SupportExecute brand positioning, messaging, and portfolio initiatives across Gwynedd Manufacturing brandsPartner on product launches from concept through commercializationSupport marketing initiatives across digital, trade, and content channels, ensuring alignment with revenue goalsAssist in pricing strategy, promotions, and MAP enforcementContribute to demand generation efforts and campaign performance trackingFinancial & Operational AlignmentSupport budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planning activitiesPartner with Finance to analyze performance by SKU, channel, and customerContribute to margin improvement initiatives through pricing, promotions, and product mixProvide insights to support data-driven decision-making across sales and marketing effortsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Finance to align demand with production capabilitiesCommunicate market feedback and customer insights to internal stakeholdersSupport development of scalable sales and marketing processesAssist in coaching and developing team members as neededMarket AwarenessMaintain understanding of the firearms, shooting sports, and outdoor CPG landscapeStay informed on regulatory and compliance considerations impacting the marketSupport identification of growth opportunities across products, channels, and partnershipsParticipate in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetingsQualifications & Experience7–10 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Commercial roles within CPG, firearms, outdoor, or related industriesExperience supporting growth of in-house or privately owned brandsExposure to multi-channel sales environments (wholesale, distribution, DTC, e-commerce)Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales and marketing performance dataExperience working cross-functionally with operations and supply chain teamsAbility to balance strategic thinking with hands-on executionPreferred ExperienceFirearms, ammunition, accessories, or regulated consumer product industriesExperience in mid-sized or growing manufacturing organizationsFamiliarity with ERP and CRM systemsExposure to product launches, SKU optimization, or portfolio managementPhysical and Work Environment Requirements:This position is based in a manufacturing environment and may require the following over extended periods of time up to a full 8-hour work shift (excluding lunch and breaks): stand, walk, sit, squat or bend, kneel and rise, lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to — and occasionally exceeding — 50 pounds, view a computer or other digital screen, work on a computer, workstation or comparable system, and make accurate entries in such systems. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills are required for detailed assembly and precision work. Work may take place in areas with varying temperatures or no climate control, varying noise levels, and production equipment in motion. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas at all times as required by company policy.
