Our world‑leading Time & Frequency department and National Timing Centre (NTC) programme are seeking a
Contract Manager
with experience in contract management and programme controls.
We are developing a world‑first resilient time distribution capability that will provide industry with a robust complement to satellite systems such as GPS – which are increasingly vulnerable to disruption from solar storms, jamming and spoofing. This will underpin essential services, including:
Telecommunications
Online banking
Emergency response
Transport networks
Wider digital and data‑driven operations
These services form the backbone of modern society and your leadership will help ensure they remain secure, reliable, and robust even if global navigation satellite systems fail.
Key responsibilities
Maintenance, tracking, and reporting of contract documentation and performance
Managing and coordinating end‑to‑end contract change control process
Stakeholder engagement
Commercial and programme governance activities
Programme reporting
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
Experience in contract management processes (reporting and change control)
Knowledge of programme governance, reporting, assurance frameworks, risk management, and control processes
Supplier management and procurement
Stakeholder management
Advantageous:
Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations
Proven experience supporting complex projects/programmes
Experience working on Government Major Projects Portfolio (GMPP) programmes
Applicants must obtain BPSS security clearance. For this role in the Time & Frequency department, applicants must have an SC clearance with no restrictions, or the ability to obtain one.
