Job Description
This part‑time lecturer will teach 1–2 courses per semester (3–6 credit hours) in Film & Television. Applicants may specialize in Lighting, Grip & Sound, Cinematography, Producing, and/or Editing. The lecturer will inspire and train students in practical projects, mentor aspiring professionals, and contribute to program growth.
What You Will Do
100% Teaching. Instructor responsibilities include:
Develop and deliver course content in designated areas.
Guide students through real‑world projects.
Mentor students and collaborate with faculty.
Contribute to program development and student growth.
Minimum Qualifications
MFA (or BA with professional industry experience substituted for MFA).
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and ProTools or Adobe Audition; expertise with state‑of‑the‑art camera and lighting equipment.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at high school or college level.
Preferred Qualifications
MFA.
Experience in post‑production techniques and Adobe Audition.
Experience teaching at the college level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive knowledge in Lighting, Grip & Sound, Cinematography, Producing, and/or Editing.
Ability to mentor and inspire students.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues and students.
Ability to apply technical expertise to teaching.
Capacity to contribute to program growth.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $5,371.19 per 3 credit course. This position is not eligible for overtime or benefits.
