Senior Product Manager Technical - External Services, AWS Edge Data Services

Overview
The EBS, AWS Backup, and Edge Data Services (AWS Transfer Family, AWS DataSync, SGW) team seeks an experienced Senior Product Manager based in Seattle or Santa Clara to lead product and feature definition for AWS Transfer Family.

Key Responsibilities
Define product requirements, go‑to‑market strategy, and champion customers' needs. Coordinate across internal and external teams, prioritize roadmap features, and define new capabilities through PR/FAQs.

Define and execute product roadmap for DataSync’s growth across on‑premises, AWS, and cross‑cloud data transfer use cases.

Drive business model transformation from project‑based migration to recurring workflow integration.

Lead DataSync expansion strategy across all storage types (S3, EFS, FSx, cross‑cloud).

Own revenue targets and report them in weekly and monthly business reviews.

Set pricing and drive profitability.

Define products by working backwards from the needs of different customer segments and jobs‑to‑be‑done.

Drive adoption in recurring use cases such as AI/ML training pipelines, life sciences genomics workflows, and media production.

Address customer pain points around migration pricing friction, performance scaling, and workflow integration.

Day in the Life
As a PM, you will work on multiple projects, interview customers to surface priorities, collaborate with engineers, solutions architects, UX designers, and partners in sales & marketing. Tasks may include preparing a re:invent talk, writing a PR/FAQ, proposing pricing, or traveling to interview customers.

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience delivering large‑scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products with full product lifecycle ownership from concept through GTM.

Compensation
Base salary: USA, CA, Santa Clara – 175,000.00 to 236,800.00 USD annually; USA, WA, Seattle – 152,200.00 to 205,900.00 USD annually. Amazon offers sign‑on payments, RSUs, and comprehensive benefits.
