Fiber Artist in Residence – Part Time
Penn State Lehigh Valley is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Fiber Artist in Residence.

Artist Responsibilities

Provide estimated material list in advance of project.

Deliver the artist talk, demonstrate techniques, and initiate the weaving process on September 14.

Maintain ongoing communication with Ann regarding technical aspects.

Finalize weaving to fit a 7 ft W × 3 ft H library space using single or multi‑panel configurations (e.g., three 2 ft W × 3 ft H panels).

Complete all necessary sewing, finishing touches, and structural details.

Construct and attach the final hanging supports or framing for installation.

Requirements and Qualifications

BFA degree / MFA preferred.

Experience conducting college and community artist residencies.

Overall 60 hours (approximately 5 hours per week) of the Fall 2026 semester.

Compensation
The starting rate for this job is $50 per hour.
