The Head of Resourcing & Metrics within the Business Strategy & Operations (BSO) function is accountable for overseeing enterprise-wide resourcing, budget tracking, and impact measurement strategies across Roche’s PDD portfolio.
This role provides leadership in resource planning, workforce analytics, and metrics-driven performance management, supporting senior functional leadership in data-informed decision-making.
You provide strategic direction for a team of leaders responsible for designing and driving the oversight and management of resourcing and financial tracking to ensure accurate visibility into headcount, contractor usage, and financial allocations across all functions and geographies.
You drive end-to-end planning governance across PDD in partnership with Finance, HR, Portfolio, and other enterprise stakeholders, ensuring consistent standards, data integrity, and transparent accountability.
You engage heavily with your direct team and stakeholders, and also with leadership — specifically with the Head of BSO and Head of PDD — to ensure high-quality, data-driven, and proactive insights.
You lead your direct team to develop and execute departmental plans to ensure alignment with business and organizational priorities.
You shape and govern enterprise-aligned metrics frameworks (e.g., OKRs, KPIs) that measure the performance, productivity, and strategic impact of BSO and other PDD functions.
You lead multi-year planning and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment of headcount and budget forecasts with evolving portfolio and business priorities.
You establish and oversee cross-functional operating rhythms that ensure the alignment of resource data with program timelines, study demand, and investment trade-offs.
You set strategic direction for data governance, audit compliance, and quality controls related to resource and budget information, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and alignment with Roche policies.
You influence enterprise-wide workforce planning efforts by delivering robust analytics, capacity modeling, and actionable insights to senior leadership.
You identify and drive innovation opportunities in automation, analytics tooling, or enterprise planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, Tableau, Adaptive Insights) to increase planning efficiency and quality.
You lead and develop a multi-layered team of leaders, resource planners, financial analysts, and metrics experts across diverse geographies.
You ensure appropriate team structure, skill mix, and capacity to deliver strategic priorities and day-to-day operational excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
You provide coaching and leadership development to direct reports, empowering them to operate autonomously and thrive in an evolving business environment.
You set clear expectations and accountabilities for excellence in planning, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
You represent the BSO function in enterprise-level forums and negotiations related to budget, workforce, and investment prioritization.
