Description Of Work
DSDHH is hiring! We are seeking a leader in the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind community with a proven track record of eliminating communication barriers for individuals as our next Communication Access Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of services, resources and policies related to effective provision of communication access services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind individuals. You will be a member of DSDHH’s Executive Management Team. In addition to the Communication Access Program, you will also oversee the Medicaid Communication Access team. You will evaluate in‑house and out‑of‑house sign language interpreters. Sign language interpreters will look to you for skill development training opportunities. You will also be responsible for public outreach, education, resource development and service coordination related to the provision of sign language interpreting services and the provision of additional communication access services.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Management Preferences

Demonstrated skills in leadership, management and supervision, including supervision of supervisors.

Advanced ASL proficiency required.

Salary Range
$70,478 - $123,336

Recruitment Range
$70,478 - $82,000

Physical Requirements

Ability to travel.

Ability to work after hours and on weekends as needed.

Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours.
