Description of Work

DSDHH is hiring a leader in the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind community with a proven track record of eliminating communication barriers for individuals as the next Communication Access Manager.
In this role, the Program Manager I (NS) will:
Develop, implement, and coordinate services, resources, and policies related to the effective provision of communication access services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlinds individuals.
Serve as a member of DSDHH's Executive Management Team.
Oversee the Medicaid Communication Access team in addition to the Communication Access Program.
Evaluate in‑house and out‑of‑house sign language interpreters and provide skill development training opportunities.
Conduct public outreach, education, resource development, and service coordination related to the provision of sign language interpreting services and additional communication access services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Management Preferences

Advancing ASL proficiency required.
Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, and supervision, including supervision of supervisors.
Salary Range: $70,478 – $123,336 (Recruitment Range: $70,478 – $82,000).
Physical Requirements

Ability to travel.
Ability to work after hours and on weekends as needed.
Position is eligible for a hybrid‑teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours.
