Role Overview
Chemistry is Tinder’s AI matchmaking feature. We leverage a user’s activity on Tinder, answers to questions, and insights from scanning their Camera Roll to suggest their most compatible matches. Our goal is to get people good dates using state-of-the-art recommendation systems and LLMs. As the Product Team Lead (PTL) for Chemistry, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of one of Tinder’s most important AI‑driven surfaces and help define the future of dating online. You will work at the intersection of product, design, ML, trust & safety, and growth to deliver meaningful improvements to match quality and real‑world outcomes.

Responsibilities

Own the end‑to‑end product strategy and roadmap for Chemistry, from ideation to launch to iteration

Translate product vision into clear narratives, wireframes, and prototypes to gather feedback and drive alignment

Partner closely with design to deliver production‑ready mocks and assets

Collaborate with ML and engineering teams to ship AI‑powered features at scale

Work with user research to deeply understand target demographics, user needs, and pain points

Synthesize qualitative insights and product analytics to make data‑informed decisions

Partner cross‑functionally with revenue, trust & safety, legal, marketing, and research teams to balance competing priorities

Ideate and support marketing campaigns

Ensure responsible use of AI, with strong attention to user trust, privacy, and consent

Qualifications

An excellent product sense that lets you solve user problems effectively

At least 5+ years of product management experience, with a preference for those working in consumer social

Experience shipping mobile products from inception to launch – if you’re a founder or early employee who has gone from 0 to 1 that’s a big plus

A strong command of data and analytics

An interest and understanding of broader cultural trends, including AI usage

Curiosity and empathy for our youngest users who may be just getting started on their dating journeys

A demonstrated ability to execute cross‑functionally

Excellent communication skills not reliant on LLMs

The salary range for this position is $235,000 - $240,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job‑related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in San Francisco, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
