Student Employee – Department of Art – Graphic Design Lab Assistant
Position summary: The Department of Art seeks a student employee to assist with graphic design support in our lab. The role involves maintaining the lab, troubleshooting equipment, and aiding students with technical issues.

Responsibilities

Keep the graphic design lab organized and in good condition.

Handle semester‑specific tasks such as rearranging, cleaning, planning, and setup.

Ensure accurate lab hours are posted and visible.

Provide basic troubleshooting for Mac computers, including force quits and restarts.

Assist students with technical problems to the best of your ability.

Maintain proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and iMovie.

Stay knowledgeable about lab printing equipment; review resources and manuals.

Keep the lab and classroom areas clean and enforce lab rules.

Report any concerns to the supervisor via email promptly.

Required Qualifications

Full‑time student status.

Graphic Design major who has passed the graphic design review.

Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

Strong ability to meet deadlines.

Comfortable working on a Mac.

Team player who collaborates well.

Knowledge of accessible document practices is a plus.

Preferred Rate: $8.00 per hour. Hours per week: 20. College Work Study position, available until 04/24/2025.
