Music Assistant - Choral

Assist faculty in Music Department.
Service all choral ensembles plus selected classroom courses.
Filling in forms, contracts, requisitions.
Mailing projects.
Setting up music room for instruction and rehearsals.
Filing, managing, disseminating and coordinating printed music.
Manage music library.
Marking instrumental parts.
Assist with receptions, coffee/tea set ups.
Errands, photocopy, concert publicity, posters, postcards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
Good public relation abilities required.
Some knowledge of music essential required.
Student who participates in music ensembles required.
Ability to follow through on tasks required.
Working Conditions:
Copy machine, PC and sound systems.
Moving furniture, large boxes of music, instruments and stands.
Occasional nights and weekends/flexible.
Hours: 10 hours per week.
This student position does not require pre-employment testing.
Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
