Talascend is currently seeking a

Technical Writer

for a contract opportunity with our client in

Warren, Michigan .

Overview

This role involves developing, authoring, and proofreading automotive customer literature, such as owner's manuals, ensuring content accuracy, and collaborating with engineering and legal teams to meet regulatory and style guidelines. The position also includes performing validations and maintaining documentation following company policies.

Responsibilities

Develop, author, and proofread customer literature, including owner's manuals
Manage and update content within the content management system
Research technical product information and communicate with subject matter experts
Incorporate feedback from engineering, marketing, and literature teams
Coordinate with safety, legal, and regulatory personnel to include required text
Ensure content meets the global writing style guidelines
Perform on-vehicle, bench, and virtual validations to verify content accuracy
Maintain records of updates and changes to literature content
Complete assigned tasks according to the production schedule and report issues
Attend meetings and follow established team processes
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, English, journalism, or communications, required
0-2 years of experience required
Strong time management skills to handle multiple deadlines
Ability to develop clear, accurate, and user-focused content
Excellent organization and research skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with technical writing in the automotive industry or related fields
Familiarity with content management systems
Ability to work in a team environment and incorporate feedback effectively

The shift is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 1st shift, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
