Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video subscriptions such as Apple TV+, HBO Max, Peacock, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

Key Responsibilities
Apply state-of-the-art natural language processing and computer vision research to video-centric digital media.
Create and maintain an environment for applied science that attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
Lead the research direction for a team of applied scientists, creating roadmaps for forward-looking research and communicating them effectively to senior leadership.
Hire and develop applied scientists, growing the team to meet evolving customer needs.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of building models for business application experience.
PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly with respect to computer vision algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Unix/Linux.
Experience in professional software development.
Have publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
