Job Summary:
The Corporate Banking Officer is responsible for originating and managing corporate lending relationships, with an emphasis on syndicated and bilateral financing transactions within the U.S. market. This individual will evaluate credit opportunities, structure and oversee lending transactions, maintain client relationships, and ensure adherence to internal credit standards and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, sound credit judgment, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and develop new business opportunities with corporate clients and expand existing banking relationships.
Serve as a relationship contact for clients on strategic and financing-related matters.
Partner with lead banks and market participants to identify and evaluate syndicated lending opportunities.
Manage client onboarding processes and ensure compliance with applicable KYC, AML, BSA, and OFAC requirements.
Prepare detailed credit memoranda and financing recommendations supported by financial modeling, industry analysis, and risk evaluation for internal approval.
Analyze borrower financial performance, collateral quality, liquidity position, management strength, industry trends, and overall creditworthiness.
Oversee and monitor existing loan exposures, including covenant compliance, financial reporting requirements, and ongoing portfolio performance.
Work closely with internal operations and loan support teams to facilitate documentation, closing, and post-closing processes for lending transactions.
